I've been actively working and building a Twitter presence over the last few weeks. Interesting how you meet all kinds of people and find out lots of information. A great way to stay on top of current events.
The more important realization to me is how Twitter can be helpful to those leaders and well known people who may be feel isolated in their roles. I've always said the the CEO or celebrity can often be the loneliest person in a room full of people. Everyone expects you to know the answers. You really can't say "I'M stick", "I don't Know". You can't be human and imperfect like everyone else.
Twitter enables them to be themselves and express their honest fears, concerns, successes and anything on their mind. I'm enjoying watching the human side of leadership shine through.
It's why it's so contagious and therapeutic - the expression of honesty and authenticity is very engaging
