SUMMARY 

Recruiting Manager role require strong work ethic, experience managing challenging projects, as well as excellent planning and organizational skills. Flexibility and the ability to influence effectively will be key characteristics of the successful candidate. The Recruiting Manager will be self-driven, goal-oriented and possess the ability to solve problems, applying creativity and diligence in determining underlying causes and manage recruiting staff.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Partners with business unit management to understand the business' operating plan and develop strategies to meet staffing requirements. Provides counsel for business partners regarding FTE resource allocation.
  • Identifies most effective sources to meet recruitment needs (colleges, Internet, job fairs, agencies) and works to establish and maintain relationships.
  • Manages the centralized recruiting work stream from sourcing to on boarding utilizing both internal and external resources to meet staffing demands.
  • Works with business managers and provides recruitment training as required.
    Develops recruitment guides, training and resources to ensure managers have the resources necessary to fill vacancies.
  • Reviews internal and external resumes and employment applications to determine most qualified applicant(s) to be interviewed for position openings. Manages the internal and external job posting advertisement process and ensures adherence to policies.
  • Reviews applications and disclosures for completeness and ensures background investigation (education, previous employment, credit report, etc.) and applicable screening tests are successfully concluded.
  • Knowledge of the local labor markets, employment trends and development of relationships with nominators in assigned territories.
  • Manage and review weekly recruiting reports, provide analysis and recommendations. Partner with hiring managers to identify requirements and understand business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Management of and proven experience in developing and executing recruiting and selection strategies, plans and processes.

·         Highly organized and attention to details.

·         Working knowledge of personal computers and internet.

·         Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively with little direct supervision.

·         Working knowledge of competition and recruiting barriers associated with a contracted field sales management environment.

·         Successful track record in overcoming barriers.

·         Strong behavioral interviewing skills.

·         Solid presentation and written/verbal communication skills.

·          Maintain a positive corporate image and professionalism

·         Strong leadership skills.

·         Proficiency in project management and facilitator skills.

  • Experience as a Recruiter in an interactive agency a plus
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time
  • Working knowledge of internet technology and strong hands-on computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite and related programs

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
  • 7-10 years experience managing an agency and/or corporate recruiting staff.
  • Experience with cold calling a plus
  • Strong understanding of federal employment standards; demonstrated ability to take charge and get results; the ability to communicate with all levels of employees, verbally and in writing; the ability to manage multiple, complex projects and priorities; PC skills,.
